March 2019 – Sophos Endpoint Buyers Guide

MRG Effitas conducted a commissioned test comparing the ability of different endpoint protection products to detect malware and potentially unwanted applications (PUA). Six different vendors, including our partner Sophos, were reviewed in the test. Sophos ranked #1 at detecting malware, as well as #1
at detecting potentially unwanted applications.

March 2019 – Welcome Tom Hearfield! 

What a better way to hop into Spring than having a new employee? We would like to welcome Tom Hearfield, our Technical Coordinator. Tom is based in our Milton Park office and will be with us from Monday to Friday. Welcome to the team, Tom! 

January 2019 – Welcome Nicola Cherry!

It’s a new year and a new start for Nicola, our latest edition. Nicola is our new Accounts Assistant and will be working with us on Wednesday’s and Thursdays. Welcome to the team, Nicola! 

Dec 2018 – It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas… 

So it might not even be December just yet but we are already in the Christmas Spirit!

You may not have the presents ready or picked Turkey vs Goose or even thinking about that dreaded “C” word but now is not the time to panic. We have put together an “Office Christmas Holiday Calendar” which is filled with reminders and fun things to do throughout December.*


From the 1st to the 26th, we have made a simple to-do list to make sure that you don’t forget anything this year. From going to the Christmas Markets to putting your “Out of Office” on your emails, this WILL be the year you’re prepared! 

In addition to the to-do list, we have also added “CTS 12 Days of Christmas”. For 12 (working) days we will be all over social media letting you know the important dates (National Christmas Jumper Day), hosting Christmas Competitions (prizes will be won) and tips & tricks to keep you merry throughout this festive season. Keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter page to see all the updates!

*As a part of our ISO 14001, we have created this downloadable calendar instead of our usual ring bounded calendar to help reduce everyone’s carbon footprint. If you would like to have your calendar printed, please make sure the paper is recycled once you are finished.

Nov 2018 – ISO Accreditations

We are pleased to announce that after a lot of hard work we have been accredited ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 Certifications. We would like to thank our Office Manager, Rachel Cotter for everything she has done in ensuring everything was in place prior to the audits.

May 2018 – IMPORTANT Please read all of this advisory

We have become aware of new attacks against web-enabled devices, which includes DrayTek routers. The recent attacks have attempted to change DNS settings of routers.  DrayTek are in the process of releasing updated firmware and will issue ASAP. You should upgrade as soon as it is available but also immediately follow the advice below:

  1. Update your firmware immediately, or as soon as updated software is available. Before doing the upgrade we need to take a backup of your current configuration in case you need to restore it later.
  2. Check your DNS and DHCP settings on your router.   If you have a router supporting multiple LAN subnets, check settings for each subnet.  Your DNS settings should be either blank, set to the correct DNS server addresses from your ISP or DNS server addresses of a server which you have deliberately set.
  3. Alternatively contact CTS Technical support on 01235 432000 and quote 1805619 and we will carry out the necessary changes for you.

February 2018 –  We’re hiring! (Position has been filled)

We are looking for a Technical Support Co-ordinator to join our office.

If you have worked on a help desk and have experience at dealing with customers, in a customer service role, or if you are a super organised Administrator, that fancies doing something different then we want to hear from you. You will be the first port of call for our customers who call our Support help desk, you will be logging issues (email and phone), giving advice and the main point of contact between customers and all other departments within our organisation. A real customer services focus is needed, the ability to multi-task, be organised, have super admin skills and have a passion for improving things.
